Special Educational Advocacy

We are non-attorney special education advocates with specific knowledge and expertise in the field of special education. We work on behalf of students with disabilities and their families to help ensure that students receive appropriate educational services and support. While we are not licensed attorneys, we are trained to understand the educational rights and legal requirements that apply to students under federal and state law. We assist families in navigating the special education process, attending meetings, reviewing documents, and advocating for the individual needs of each student.

We like to think of ourselves as educational consultants because our approach is collaborative rather than adversarial. We work to build—and, when necessary, rebuild—positive relationships between families and schools. We are happy to provide guidance, discuss next steps, review existing IEP, ARD, or 504 documents, and develop an individualized action plan. We can also offer practical suggestions for supporting your child at home or simply help provide reassurance when the process feels overwhelming.
